INGREDIENTS
3 c. all-purpose flour
¼ tsp. + 1/8 tsp. baking powder
¾ tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. butter flavored Crisco
2 Tbsp. bacon grease, or Butter/Crisco or plain Crisco
2 c. boiling water
In a large bowl add flour, baking powder, and salt, then add butter Crisco and bacon grease and mix together. Add hot water and mix with fork to incorporate the flour, then form into dough. If it is too wet, add some more flour. Knead the dough for at least 5 minutes until soft and smooth. Let the dough rest for at least 30 minutes wrapped in some cling wrap.
